This semester Ventureprise will be partnering with a student organization, HultPrize at UNCC to expand our pitching competition, the 49er Challenge. We will be welcoming different pitch categories; including social ideas, social ideas that address the Hult Prize (Youth Unemployment), business and innovation.
The Hult Prize is a start-up accelerator for social entrepreneurship that brings together the brightest college and university students from around the globe to solve the world’s most pressing issues. The annual initiative is the world’s largest student competition and crowd-sourcing platform for social good, and has been funded by the Hult family since its inception in 2009. This year, Hult Prize chose Youth Unemployment as the competition theme that will focus on developing an idea for 10 million young people within the next decade. To learn more, visit www.hultprize.org.
We will be offering cash prizes, mentoring and other services for the winner. The Hult Prize category winner will be advancing to the next phase of their competition. We are welcoming all students with ideas they would like to pitch.
